About this project
PuertoRicoDiveSites.com aims to be the most careful public reference to scuba diving sites around Puerto Rico and its islands — useful to visiting divers, residents, instructors, dive shops, researchers and photographers alike.
Who maintains it
The project is run independently by divers in Puerto Rico. We think the island’s diving deserves a trustworthy, independent reference, so the site is run as one: dive sites are never tied to a particular business, the dive-shop directory lists every operating shop alphabetically on identical terms, and we don’t accept payment to change how a site or shop is described.
What makes it different
- Every fact is traceable to a source, and the source register is public.
- Uncertainty is shown: coordinate quality, conflicting reports and historical-only sites are labelled.
- Corrections from the diving community are welcome and reviewed as evidence.
