Overview

The wreck of a B-29 Superfortress rests at about 115–120 ft off Aguadilla, making it a deep, advanced dive listed for nitrox and run seasonally, weather permitting. A 1996 U.S. Navy survey found the center fuselage and intact wings with four engines in a debris field, the rear section missing, and rigging trailing from the wreckage, an entanglement hazard. It was probably a bomber that ditched in 1945 (one source says 1946), with three crew lost; treat it as a protected historic site.[1][2]
