Overview
Angel, or Angel Reef, is a shallow reef dive off Vieques that an operator describes as good for novice divers; elkhorn, staghorn and pillar corals are reported, and current sources call it infrequently visited and off the beaten path. A 2008 dive magazine described a rarely dived spur-and-groove reef with near-pristine corals and groups of gray angelfish at about 40 to 60 feet; a 1998 guide gave 45 to 90 feet.[1][2][3][4][5]
