Overview
Heads up: a 2026 DRNA guided snorkel tour here admitted swimmers only, so beginners should go with a guide. Las Cabezas de San Juan is a shore snorkel spot in the Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve in Fajardo, where anchoring and commercial fishing are restricted; check current DRNA rules. DRNA describes coral reefs and seagrass meadows, and a local operator swims or kayaks out from the Ensenada Yegua beach to two shallow reefs behind a reef barrier, renting gear with a map of the spots. Reported life includes reef fish, rays, octopus, lobsters, turtles and manatees.[1][2][3][4][5]
